Hello, my name is Nicole Lesny and I am a Polish-American illustrator based in Chicago. As a kid, I remember always running to the remote straight after school, wanting to be the one to pick the channels, I couldn’t let my sister take the opportunity from me. Watching television inspired my work today and formed my passion for storytelling. I especially love to work with fantasy, making worlds and setting characters off on an adventure. 

 

Once I decided I wanted to pursue illustration, I attended and graduated Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. in Illustration. My love for stories, characters, backgrounds, and color developed further and helped me discover new routes for my illustrations. One of my biggest accomplishments is winning first place for a poster contest held by the American Dental Association, and working with them to create fun activity sheets for children at the dentists.
